In late summer of 2016, I was assigned to assist in the re-brand of the out-dated identity of Cut & Color Hair Studio located in Woodfield Mall - Schaumburg, IL. The goal was to build a brand that would appropriately connect with clients and capture the modern, urban setting of Woodfield Mall. Despite only being a part time intern, I was given a great deal of responsibly, which I gladly accepted.

My Inspiration was the modern, urban aesthetic of largest mall in Illinois and it’s surrounding community.

I started out by utilizing my newly acquired photography skills to create mood boards and gather thoughts from clients and employee’s to establish a culture. Not to mention the hair-stylists themselves wanted a brand that was harmonious with their work as well.

The logo itself came from some the sketchbook of the owner and president of the salon, which I tweaked only slightly to fit within the eventual established brand.

I was also in charge of finding affordable and reliable suppliers for marketing materials such as service menus, business cards, step and repeat backdrops, etc.
